New York in Abstract Legos

I stumbled across this on the New York Times website and it made me smile - Christoph Niemann's "I LEGO NY", the most recent entry of his Abstract City column.

This one was my favorite. I remember the trepidation I felt the first time I flagged down a cab. It took me a couple of tries to realize that the lights on the hood actually had meaning.

This one was also pretty good too. Always inspect the sidewalk before stepping.

I never knew that about the taxi lights!

I don't think I've ever once glimpsed at the taxi lights. Too much to remember. So much easier to squint like a fiend and wave madly.
